Red Sheep

As you may have noticed, the name of the game, and film, has changed. "Red Sheep" is part of a critical piece of dialogue that means more now to the film than The Man Who Would Live. It was tough to let that go, it just started making less and less sense as we continued with the edit.

Speaking of, the edit is complete and we're onto sound mix and color correction. The music and titles are out of control amazing.

Stay tuned.

Update #73

Hey you lovely and loyal fans of The Man Who Would Live. We can't stress enough how appreciative we all are of the support you've shown us. Since our Kickstarter project has reached the funding level (holy crap you guys are awesome), we will be receiving the much needed funds to begin the process of completing the film (hell yes). We still have some left to go and would love to continue to get support from those who maybe haven't heard of the cause. Any additional funds your friends and followers could donate would help in allowing us to get the film out into the world. If we can do it, we're coming to your town on the film festy circuit.

If you haven't checked it out, there's now a trailer for the film over at TheManWhoWouldLive.com. Watch it, bookmark the page, and keep in touch. You've helped make all of this possible which makes you like my best friend. So we need to hang out and talk about that new fist tattoo.

Have a safe drive.

Meet the Cast

As we move on from the shoot and head into post, I'd like to introduce the cast. The best group of actors I could have ever hoped for.

It's A Wrap

Thanks to the film family that came together to make all of this possible. Without all of the amazing people working in unison to make the film great, it wouldn't have worked. I couldn't be happier or feel luckier about the way everything turned out. Now for the edit.

We Have A Cast

Finally, after what seems like ages, we have everyone in place. I couldn't be happier with the cast of characters. Which is good because we're shooting in a surreal few number of days. We'll announce the full cast after the shoot. That's right. After the shoot.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to an audition or submitted for a role. You all made it a very tough decision.

Day One Casting: In The Bag

Thanks to everyone who came out to casting this morning. It was really great to see so many enthusiastic faces. We had more than 50 people show up and to me, that's a good day. We're in the process of review, but still on the lookout for more great talent. So if you didn't get a chance to come in today, you'll have another opportunity soon. We'll be scheduling callbacks + additional casting in the very near future. Stay tuned and thanks again.

The Man Who Would Live Begins

After many months of writing and rewriting and getting my act together, we're finally on track to make what I believe to be one of the greatest films of our time, The Man Who Would Live. It's a long short film about a down-on-his-luck accountant who prays for death, but wishes later he hadn't. Sure, there's blood. Sure, there's guns. A hint of sex and a fair bit of rock'n roll, well yeah. Who do you think you're talking to? Why is there a photo of James Dean here? That's for me to know and you to never find out.

We're moving fast so stay tuned and keep your pants on until I say the word.
